So finally, I have time to drop in the standings.

1. amped0808: 42-10 (.8077)
2. cettt: 41-11 (.7884)
3. thecrackerjack: 36-10 (.7826)
4. ash22themagnificent: 39-13 (.7500)
T5. capcon: 38-14 (.7308)
T5. wihsfootball: 38-14 (.7308)
7. whfan202: 37-15 (.7115)
8. bcushing: 36-16 (.6923)
T9. card80fan: 35-17 (.6731)
T9. importfromil: 35-17 (.6731)

amped0808 takes the lead with a perfect 6-0 week to take a 1-game lead over cettt, who was one of 4 people to miss on Luther Prep / Lakeside Lutheran. thecrackerjack also went perfect on the week to move into 3rd place. The Waterloo/Cambridge game was split evenly, so half the group missed it. card80fan had the roughest week, going 3-3 to join me in the basement.

With 18 games to pick on the season, time is running out for some people (me) - but there's still some good games that can separate the leaders ... or, pack everyone together yet again.

Week 7 Schedule
Belleville (1-5, 0-2) at Cambridge (3-3, 1-1)
Lodi (6-0, 2-0) at Lake Mills (3-3, 0-2)
Columbus (6-0, 2-0) at Luther Prep (4-2, 0-2)
Waterloo (4-2, 2-0) at Marshall (3-3, 2-0)
Wisconsin Heights (0-6, 0-2) at New Glarus/Monticello (1-5, 1-1)
Lakeside Lutheran (5-1, 1-1) at Poynette (5-1, 1-1)
I'm not saying some things the WIAA does are wrong, ... I'm just saying, "I find it weird."

Belleville at Cambridge- Cambridge may have lost last week but I think they will rebound this week and get back on the winning streak before playing Marshall in the final game of the year. Owens will have a good game running the ball and it will be to much for Belleville. Bluejays by 21

Lodi at Lake Mills- Lodi continues their dominance this week over Lake Mills and closes Lake Mills hopes of making the playoffs. Lodi by 21

Columbus at Luther Prep- Sad to say but Prep isn't going to make the playoffs again even though they have a great team this year. Columbus is too dominant and I can't wait till they play Lodi should be a great game to watch. Cards by 14

Waterloo at Marshall- It may be Marshall's homecoming but I think Waterloo is the better team this year. They have speed and also have the size up front to win the battles in the trenches. Gallitz needs to be smart with the ball and they should have an easy game come Friday. Pirates by 14

Wisconsin Heights at New Glarus/Monticello- NGM wins this week and continues to keep their playoffs hope alive. All they have to do is beat Cambridge or Waterloo. NGM by 21

Lakeside Lutheran at Poynette- Lakeside got back on the winning side of things last week against a good Prep team and I think they will continue that this week. I don't think Poynette is that great of a team and LL has Denoyer who is a stud on all levels. LL by 14

There is no doubt that Lake Mills is going to throw it. This will be a good test to see how good Lodi's pass D is. Lake Mills will get a touchdown on the board. Still Lodi by 24

Columbus really stood up well against Lake Mills throwing the ball and this week they can clinch a playoff spot. I think Prep will keep this close for a while but C-Bus will prevail by 17

Waterloo might be the class of the south. Marshall will stay with in reach but will come up short Waterloo by 8

NGM by 18

This game looks to be bit of a toss up, looking at scores and stats I think Poynette has caught a few teams at the right time or conditions ( rain ). I think Poynette will keep it close for a while but in the end LL will pull away. LL by 20.

There are 3 teams that can clinch this week Lodi and Columbus and the winner of Marshall Waterloo. Lakeside and Poynette winner can get with in 1 win After this week. Lakeside has Lodi and LM. Poynette has Columbus and Luther Prep left. LM and Prep will be left out if they don't win this week. Waterloo has the easier remaining schedule. They will get in. Marshall's is a bit harder, with Cambridge remaining if Marshall looses this week they will have their backs against the wall for sure. Cambridge is the dark horse. If they right the ship they have a good shot at getting in. But you never know! Should be a interesting end to the season.

Belleville at Cambridge- I was at the Cambridge game last week, and boy have they took steps backwards from last year. Their Offensive line is terrible and josh Owens just isn't the same. He'll have a good game this week but that's because Belleville's not that good. Cambridge by 28

Lodi at lake mills- Lodi has too give up a touchdown this week right? Lodi by 35

Columbus at prep- Columbus is going to handle prep this week by beating them in the trenches. Prep will fight hard and will have to contain Columbus's running gain if they want to win. Columbus by 21

Waterloo at Marshall- game of the week hands down. There is no love between these two towns and hands the best rivalry in the conference. Waterloo played really well last week and they will need their defense to repeat what they did. Wyatt gallitz will need to protect the football and Waterloo will need to limit mistakes if they want to win this game. Marshall on the other hand will be fired up for this game and will give it everything they have. They will need to force turnovers to win this game. last year coach scheel and one of marshalls assistants got into a heated fight after the game, it should be a fun one on Friday! Loo by 8

Heights at new glarus/Monticello- NGM will keep stay hot and run wild on heights. New garlus/ Monticello by 28

Lakeside at Poynette- this one wil be a hard fought grinder. Poynettes playing the role of Waterloo in 2013, their proving everybody wrong and playing their tails off. I like Poynette to win this one because lakesides speed is to questionable. Poynette by 7

I was at game as well and Owens had a good game averaging over 5 yards a carry. What cost them the game was the bad call on the fumble recovery for a touchdown. Ref called it a block in the back and the kid clearly got in front of him. Both teams are good and might have a share for the conference title.

Belleville at Cambridge - I'd like to think the Bluejays will "flip the switch" and get things together shortly ... but I could see them also piddle with this game and give it away to the Wildcats. I just don't think Belleville has nearly enough to take advantage, especially being on the road. Bluejays by 24.

Lodi at Lake Mills - Well, we don't have to worry about whether the L-Cats can break the shutout streak; now it's "can the L-Cats become the first team to get into the end zone against Lodi?" Verdict: no. Blue Devils by 38.

Columbus at Luther Prep - I won't be shocked if this game is close. Like, really close. It's just a shame the Phoenix will get eliminated from playoff contention after this week - because I think they could win a game against some teams that will finally get in. Cardinals by 12.

Waterloo at Marshall - If there's one thing we know so far, nothing is certain in the C-South and there's no clear-cut favorite. Hence, this result won't surprise me - nor should it surprise anyone else. Cardinals by 4.

Wisconsin Heights at New Glarus/Monticello - the Vanguards have been planning for next season for a while. It's just official after this game. Glarner Knights by 30.

Lakeside Lutheran at Poynette - the good news for the Pumas: they get an easier opponent this week. The bad news: they'll be one loss away from sitting home in the postseason after this game. Warriors by 18.

Belleville at Cambridge- Cambridge, I believe they are way down from last year, but they still get the job done tonight
Lodi at Lake Mills- Lodi, thats all that needs to be said
Columbus at Prep- Columbus, they look awfully good this year
Waterloo at Marshall- Waterloo, biggest rivalry game this week. I think Waterloo is the front runner this year to win the South, however I believe the strength of the South this year doesn't compare to the previous 2 years or so. This one will be interesting though as it's Marshall's homecoming which they will be up for, not to mention the team from 5 miles down the road visits tonight...
Heights at New Glarus- With Binger back, I believe this New Glarus team could POSSIBLY, surprise people at the end of the year. Again i said possibly
Lakeside at Poynette- Lakeside, however in a close game. Tough to decide this one

Lodi 41, Lake Mills 7 - so now, the only streak going for Lodi is "not losing" (unless you're going for obscure stuff)
Columbus 35, Luther Prep 16
Lakeside Lutheran 41, Poynette 6
New Glarus/Monticello 49, Wisconsin Heights 0
Cambridge 37, Belleville 8
Marshall 34, Cambridge 21

Not a lot of close games this week; Cards-Pirates was the closest at 13, and then Cards-Phoenix was the only other game within 4 scores. Waterloo will be kicking itself for being up 21-14 with 2 minutes to play in the 3rd and in position to seize control of the C-South, and not taking full advantage.

Clinched Playoff Spot
Lodi (3-0)
Columbus (3-0)
Marshall (3-0)

Eliminated from Playoffs
Lake Mills (0-3)
Luther Prep (0-3)
Belleville (0-3)
Wisconsin Heights (0-3)
