New Richmond @ Rice Lake - I think Rice Lake might be the only team playing on Friday night, so I'll start with them. Rice Lake played well last week against a very tough team. This week they have a team that they played and beat 73-22 in the second week of football. That team has gotten a lot better and I bet they will be prepare to draw blood. I think it's going to be a great game to watch and New Richmond QB will have a field day with the Rice Lake's secondary.

Menomonie @ De Pere- Menomomie came back to win another game this past weekened. I just don't know if they are going to be able to do that against De Pere. However, since I support the BRC, I will pick them to win a close one. I just hope their coach get them ready to start and finish the game.

Chippewa Falls vs. Menasha- Chippewa got the job done once again. I have to admit I really dislike Chippewa because I'm one of those people you can call a "hater." However, I do love their coach and his coaching philosophy. He is always saying great things about his players and when things goes wrong, he takes responsibility. The kids at Chippewa wants it badly and they have a great leader, so I will pick them to win it this week. I someone nominate their coach for coach of the year or for some sort of high honors.

Eau Claire Memorial @ Appleton North - What a game it was last week!!! Memorial is the face of the BRC right now, they proved that the BRC is great and that is why their record the way it is. If memorial continue to do what they do well they will continue to win. Keep getting that #2 involve.

I will be rooting for all of the BRC teams but this is my honest opinion of what I think is going to happen. It was tough for me to pick against Chippewa and Menomonie but they both have to go all the way to the other side of the state and play great teams. I hope they prove me wrong though. It would be great to see a Chippewa-Menomonie rematch.

First I want to disclose that I am biased regarding Menomonie football, but I've been able to see a lot of these teams play and watch film from future opponents. I'm curious if anyone on here has seen Menasha or De Pere play?

Chippewa Falls is big and athletic and will be tough to beat if they get Mewhorter back. He hurt his left ankle again late in the fourth quarter against Superior - unfortunate because Chippewa was up by 3 scores.

Watching film of De Pere they look average (they also lost their starting tailback). Ashwaubenon actually looked much more skilled across the board. Perhaps they are tougher than they appear on film, but it's possible that folks are simply paying attention to the rankings and not the talent they put on the field. I predict Menomonie will advance to play Chippewa again.

Eau Claire Memorial has an outstanding O-line, skilled players have top end speed, and are well coached. They too could go a long way.

The Rice Lake game won't be close.

And on a side note, Geagle you should really keep your negative opinion about people to yourself, you have no idea how many positive things coach Labuda does in the Menomonie community which is a lot by the way. These boards are not set up for people to throw around that type of false crap, keep it positive please! That man probably makes $5.00 per hour or less if you divide the hours he puts in for our area youth by the salary he earns.

People like to throw stupid comments around on these boards. Joe LaBuda is not perfect, but none of us are either. The man stepped onto the field in Menomonie in 1989 and he is still there in 2015. 26 seasons and unless I am wrong, which I could be he has only had about 3 losing seasons and two of them were the first two years. He has more conference championships, many state titles and runner ups, he has dozens of players that played college ball, and has made a positive impact on a town and a football program that had had virtually no success before he took over the program. Not to mention that the kids in his program are expected to serve in the community too. Sounds like a guy that is doing a lot to change his little slice of the world. Before you throw out comments maybe you should look at what you do to be a positive force in your slice of the world. Good luck to all the level 2 playoff teams. It's a great time of the year!

Fox Valley guy here ... have seen Menasha play 3X and DePere 2X

DePere is good ... not great .... Menomonie should win if they don't beat themselves.

Menasha (defensing D-2 state champ) is an excellent team on both sides of the ball ... O-line & D-line are big & dominating ... I lean towards Menasha ... but Chi-Hi has a chance, especially if Mewhorter plays

I suspect the individual dropping LaBuda is the same poster who always appears at playoff time under many different monikers ... just my opinion .

LaBuda needs nobody to talk him up or down .

Are you talking about the one and only Aloveforfootball? The same guy who just creates different names on other boards everytime his newest creation gets banned?

IMO, all Big Rivers teams will win this weekend. The Big Rivers is historically strong this year. The FRCC is not a strong conference, and I don't believe that Menasha is the title contender they were last year.
