Kimberly's Blair Mulholland, the Associated Press 2015 High School Football Player of the Year (2941 yards rushing, 47 TD's), who weighed anywhere between 198-203 lbs during the football season, wrestled at 195 lbs to begin the season and then bumped up to 220 llbs for a while. He eventually moved down to 182 lbs (where he wrestled as a sophomore) and ultimately settled in at 170 lbs where he took 3rd at state in 2015.

Mulholland enters the state tournament this season, undefeated at 41-0.

Mulholland finishes 4th.

-- Won the first wrestleback by decision 8-1
-- Won the second wrestleback by decision 5-3
-- Won the consolation semi by fall in 2:07
-- Lost the 3rd place match by decision 7-5 to Jared Krattiger, Waterford (So; 5th last year at 160)

The wrestler he lost to on Thursday (Connor Williams; La Crosse Central) takes 5th.

He dropped to 170 in order to avoid Beau Breske. It may have been to much weight for him to cut to be honest for a chance at winning the weight. He may of been better off staying at 182 and taking 3rd or 2nd. If he would of drawn into the bottom against Ramos it would of been a really good match. Both of them however would be nothing more then fodder for Breske this year.

Didn't Breske lose at state?

Last year, yes. Breske cruised to the title this year.

Cruised, indeed. [Edited because I misread the sentences above and smashed them together.]

-- Technical Fall (17-2), 2:20

That may have been the only loss of Breske's HS career. The kid he lost to is wrestling at UW I believe.

Mason Reinhardt from Merrill edged him in the finals last year. Was one of the best matches of the tournament. Mason was ranked fairly high nationally at 170 as well.
He lost twice at the cheesehead as a freshman and state finals last year. Still unbelievable career 3 time state champ and only 3 losses in his career.

That is one heck of a career. It is too bad that he is going to Nebraska and not UW.
