Deiter as lineman of the year and Edwards as a 1st teamer is a absolute travesty in my opinion.  Those two, based on what I saw this year, played worse than they had in previous seasons!

I'm okay with the Benz and Biadasz selections.  I hope Biadasz stays one more year to help a new and likely better OL in 2019.

One one think that with 4 offensive lineman at B1G all conf selections that we would be the B1G West Champs by a longshot! Couldn't be more misleading.

If anyone on offense should've gotten All B1G recognition, it's Alec Ingold.  He performed unselfishly, blocked like a truck, and scored touchdowns all season.  Wisconsin appreciates and will miss you!

It also appears Gaglianone got recognition for being subpar this year..

Connelly got snubbed, but hey that's the underdog storyline of his career.  I hope it fuels him for a bright future in the NFL.

Lastly, Van Ginkel is a 1st teamer if he's healthy all season.

"Five University of Wisconsin football players earned Associated Press All-Big Ten first-team honors when the teams were released Wednesday, including the only unanimous selection in the conference.

Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor was a first-team pick by all 27 voters after he also earned consensus first-team honors by the league's coaches and media last week. He also won the Ameche-Dayne Big Ten Running Back of the Year Award.

Left guard Michael Deiter, center Tyler Biadasz, right guard Beau Benzschawel and inside linebacker T.J. Edwards were the other first-team selections, while right tackle David Edwards earned a spot on the second team.

UW's five first-team selections trailed only Michigan's seven. Five members of the Wolverine's defense, which ranks first nationally in total defense, earned a first-team nod.

Taylor's 1,989 rushing yards led the nation this season, and his 165.8 rushing yards per game were nearly 20 more than any other player in the country.

The sophomore's big season came on the back of a 1,977-yard year as a true freshman in 2017, when he finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting."

Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor, who won the Doak Walker Award and earned first-team All-American honors from Walter Camp. RG Beau Benzschawel was also a first-team selection, while LG Michael Deiter made the second team:

I'm still dumbfounded as to how Deiter was recognized so highly.  I guess their number one criterion is durability and career starts.

Congrats to Jonathon Taylor.  What's amazing about JT's year is that every single player on the defense knew when and where the ball was going and he faced 8 man boxes yet still had the numbers he did.  The other 2 Doak Walker finalists had the luxury of having the threat of a pass game not to mention other skilled players that took some attention off them.  Imagine Taylor facing a 6 man box on a regular basis.

Didn't Etienne have like 150 or less touches for the year too?
