  • 247 has Graham Mertz as the No. 8 Pro-Style QB in 2019.  Impressive for a first-year starter, but he is absolutely slinging it this season.
  • Leo Chenal is likely an offer Wisconsin could have waited on, but despite level-of-competition, he is a superb athlete.
  • Wisconsin is in strong position with Nolan Groulx (WR), Bryce Benhart (OT), Trevor Keegan (OT), Logan Brown (OT), Wynston Russell (DB), and Lewis Cine (S).

Rivals provided grades for Graham Mertz and Leo Chenal.  Mertz is a four-star and Chenal is a high three-star.

Graham Mertz led his team to a state championship yesterday.  Here is his statline:

24-30 for 462 yards and 4 td.  Also ran had a scramble for 15 yards with 49 secondsn left for the game-winning td.

Future for qb looks good at UW with Hornbrook still having 1-2 more years and then a experienced Coan should take over before Mertz settles in.

Now that the 2018 class has been all but signed, the attention turns to 2019. The priority will be keeping Logan Brown and Graham Mertz committed to UW for the next 12 months. Brown may pick up offers from Auburn and Ohio State yet, and still has an offer from Alabama sitting on the table. Mertz just got an offer from Michigan a few days ago.

Call me pessimistic, but I will be pleasantly surprised if Mertz signs his LOI with UW.

Metz may have gotten an offer but Michigan already has two 4 stars signed for this  year and both I believe are early enrolling.   Not to mention it appears michigan is moving towards a dual threat quarterback offense similar to Alabama.

BAMF Henry Rollins went to the Bullis school. It is an upper crust military prep school for the military academy at least that is what Henry Rollins said.  He said it was the best think for him in his youth.   They wear uniforms and have an honor code so I do not think character will be an issue.

Nolan Groulx is a 5'11" 185 lb WR from W.A. Hough H.S. in Cornelius, NC.  He is rated 4 stars by 247 Sports and 3 stars by Rivals.  UW beat out North Carolina, Texas A&M, Duke & West Virginia, among others for Groulx's services.

National Scouting Services  have Bucky's 2019 recruiting class ranked as high as 3rd, nationally, thus far in the recruiting process.
