It looked bleak, but the Badger Women's Hockey team pulled off the near-impossible  to outright win the 2020 WCHA championship.

Needing at least a tie at UM-Duluth in the final regular season game on Sunday (2/23) to avoid a WCHA co-championship with Minnesota, the Badgers scored 2 goals in the final minute of regulation to tie UMD at 5-all, then scored a goal 1 minute into the 2nd overtime to gain an extra point in the final standings.
