The Badger Women's Volleyball Team won the outright Big 10 Championship this past weekend, despite losing a heartbreaker, 3-2, Friday night  to Penn St, after leading 2-0.  The loss dropped Bucky into a 24-hour, 1st-place tie with the Lady Lions. However, while Wisconsin was defeating Rutgers, 3-0, Saturday evening, Minnesota was disposing Penn St, 3-1, handing the Badgers their first Big 10 title since 2014.

Hopefully people see this and out up some comments about the Badgers Women's Volleyball team.  Beat the #1 team in the nation tonight and continued their outstanding play.  An amazingly athletic group of young ladies.  They are so mentally tough and have one of the great coaches in Sheffield.  They will go for a national championship Saturday night.  It will be great to watch.

They're certainly playing really well right now. Completely unfazed by tough dropping of first set and basically ran Baylor off the court from then on.

Been watching for a long time. For years they just didn't quite have the size and athletes to compete consistently with Penn State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Stanford. They do now though.

Well that sucked. Didn't bring it tonight on top of Stanford being really really good.

After upsetting #1-seeded Baylor 3-1 in the national semi-finals, the #4-seeded Badger Women's Volleyball team was swept in the national championship game 3-0, by #3-seeded Stanford.

The 2019 championship was Stanford's 3rd in 4 years.  Good news for the rest of the country ... Stanford graduates its top 7 players.

If I was a betting man, I would wager the Badgers will be ranked #1 in the country to open the 2020 season.  The Badgers lose only right outside hitter Madison Duello from this season's nucleus of players.  All-Americans Dana Rettke, Sydney Hilley & Molly Haggerty return.

2019 national semi-finalist #7 Minnesota will likely be ranked #2 in the fall of 2020.
