Double check your Fondy Springs total games number.... I believe it should be 509, and not 490.

Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

I have also found more results for Prairie du Chien that date to 1897 so they are going to be more wins and losses added to it.

It would be great to have a complete list. There are over 300 football programs in the state.

Thank you for taking the time to put together the data that you do have.

It would be awesome if we had a final AP Ranking after each season since the AP Poll started for high school football in Wisconsin and look at how many times schools finished the season ranked.

Historically, closer to 460 when you include the defunct private schools and some small town schools that were closed & merged around the 1960's.

The United Press ran the first coaches polls in 1958 with Superior Central High finishing the seasons ranked first. The AP ran it's first polls in 1965. The UPI split their rankings between large & small schools in 1962.

I do this all because I don't really have a life. If you know something I don't, please share. I'm not very good at begging.

Every year we post these and add a few more. If someone with Waupaca ties has the numbers & posts, I'd love to add them and track it.

Marshfield Columbus High School's football program (1950-2000, 51 seasons) had an all-time record of 301 wins, 183 losses and 5 ties (.621).

The vast majority of those wins were accomplished during WFCA HOF'er Walt Kroll's 31-year coaching tenure. Kroll's record, coaching the Dons (1964-1994), was 219-99-2 (.667), including only 3 losing seasons, 3 perfect seasons and 3 WISAA state championships.

Kroll family line must still be in the area. Was there a Kroll on the 2011 team? Bright future for football in Marshfield with a new weight room in the works, dedicated young men that start playing tackle football in 3rd or 4th grade and strong coaching and aleays keeping the tradition of a balanced offense, great special teams, and strong defence.

Probably no relation to Coach Walt Kroll who is now deceased. Kroll was a native of Glenwood City and went to college at the U of Minnesota. He was a life-long bachelor.
