Hope Horni heals and gets healthy moving forward.

I also hope this elevates Coan and the team rallies around him.

Nothing definitive so far on when or how Hornibrook suffered his concussion.

More from the Wisconsin State Journal on the Hornibrook situation and the rest of the UW  Football Injury Report leading up to the Northwestern game:

Word on the street is that he hurt it in the Michy game and actually played through it in the Illini game.  His 2nd diagnosed concussion while at UW so the protocol is likely more strict.

idc either way, whoever gives us the best chance to win. I leave that up to the coaching staff. either way we should be ok against Northwestern. I was hoping to see more of Bryson Williams in the middle.

You've seen NW/UW games before, right?

They could bring back Russell Wilson for this and it'd still be 50/50.

Which is odd.. NW beats Purdue, loses to Akron, almost lose to Rutgers and Nebraska...

Which team is gonna show up tomorrow?

Badgers announced today that Coan will be starting the bowl game most of us have forgotten will be taking place, as Hornibrook is apparently suffering from issues related to his concussions and has been seeing specialists.

Seems like there may be some concern regarding his future in football. Could certainly make things even more interesting for 2019, particularly if Coan builds on his Purdue performance against the Hurricanes.

What are the odds that AH does not play FB at UW next year?  He is a senior academically correct? Could or would he graduate and then transfer to some other school and play right away?  Has to be tough to continually hear from fans how you are not good and cost your teams games.

Will the concussions play a role in him not playing?

Could there be a Coan vs Mertz for starting QB or some sort of split time next year?

I've always wondered what the Badgers would be like if they had a GOOD Quarterback!!??!!??

Is this rhetorical or are you actually asking?

If he's healthy, he will start next year. With that said, I have a feeling he may not take another snap.

I like Mertz as a prospect, but I think people need pump the brakes on him starting next year. The last guy hyped like him threw javelin better than he did a football. Now, Mertz is not Kafentzis. He is big and has a strong arm, but to expect a true freshman to start seems far fetched.

Danny VandenBoom anyone?
