Menomonee Falls at Brookfield Central - It really feels like Falls is there to be beaten, and while I'm not convinced this year's manic BC team is the one to do it, they kinda represent the last real chance, I guess.

Marquette at Germantown - Marquette's receiving corps is now banged up, but some underclassmen were able to step up against Sussex. Now they get a decent Germantown squad whose best asset is their defense. Don't think the Warhawks have enough to stop Marquette as much as they will need to, as I see the Hilltoppers putting a goose egg up defensively.

Brookfield East at Sussex Hamilton - Sussex is a team that just doesn't know what they are offensively, and I think it's hurting them, this lack of identity. It's like they wanted to stay old-school, but also do some new school things and it just isn't working. East themselves have really struggled offensively this year despite having an electric back and three-year starter at QB, which is a bit strange in and of itself...although the defensive-level in this conference is pretty high.

Wauwatosa West at Wauwatosa East - Tosa West would be a Woodland-West contender...here in the GMC they're the team you just have to make sure you don't overlook. The final GMC Battle of Tosa will probably be closer than it should be, but the Trojans are still taking home that cumbersome trophy.

West Allis Hale at Waukesha South - It's tough to pick Hale over a C8 team, but Hale has showed a few flickers of life in the GMC this year, South has been essentially non-competitive all year long.

Menomonee Falls at Brookfield Central - I've felt all along that this year's conference champ would not be an undefeated squad, and while Falls has bucked the trend to this point, they also haven't played BC. I think the Lancers are "up" again this week and play spoiler in search of a share of the league title.

Marquette at Germantown - MUHS is finally clicking on offense and it's happening just in time. They may be a dangerous out in the playoffs, similar to a couple years back when they ultimately fell to Kimberly. Germantown has played some solid defense against lesser squads but they haven't looked so great against the upper tier.

Brookfield East at Sussex Hamilton - Hamilton just looks like a better team. I've said it before but they pass the eye test, whereas East kind of doesn't, but those little guys on East (Hunt and McGath) make their offense and defense go.

Wauwatosa West at Wauwatosa East - If these schools did a co-op they could really make some noise.
