Milwaukee Marshall at Marquette - Marquette not getting the team they expected, but they should be fine here regardless. Hit a few big pass plays early, contain Allen, and Marshall will get down on themselves and then it becomes a rout. Scuffle early and you give them hope, and then maybe it gets tricky.

D2:

Brookfield East at Brookfield Central - Gut feeling. BC has been playing better, but something about this matchup in the playoffs has me leaning Spartans. I can't see this one being very high-scoring and it just may come down to which QB can make a big play (lean B'East), or which defense can get a score (lean B'East).

Homestead at Menomonee Falls - Homestead is like a wounded animal. Just when you think they are down and out they'll reach up and claw up your face. The key for Falls is to deliver the coup de grace before they take you down with them. Opportunity is there for Falls. It is just so hard to pick against Keel and Co. regardless of who they're rolling out there. Experience matters this time of year.

Milwaukee Marshall at Marquette - Mild upset by Marshall last week; I really thought King was the real deal this year. They put a lot of talent on the field against MUHS last season and could have been dangerous in a rematch. Marshall should struggle to move the ball against the Hilltoppers' D and their now-healthy linebacker unit, but Marquette shouldn't sleep on these guys.

D2:

Brookfield East at Brookfield Central - I just think East has more in the cupboard than Central does, and I think they're hungrier here as well. If ol' uncle Jed were roaming the sideline maybe I'd pick differently, but it's hard to beat the same team twice in a year.

Homestead at Menomonee Falls - Falls may have surprised a lot of people this year, but they won't surprise Keel and his defense.  I tend to believe that Homestead will take away whatever Falls does best and make this a field-position game. If that happens, take the crew that's been there before.

Well, a hire like that would definitely raise some eyebrows.

Milwaukee Marshall at Marquette: Marquette got both aspects of the offense together in their big win over Manitowoc. I would wonder if Manty scored off their first offensive possesion, would've affected the makeup of the game to that point? Maybe. Marshall got their second ever playoff win (My math sucks as of late.), they need everything to be nearly flawless for their third ever playoff win. Bay Port probably awaits anyway for both.

D2:

Brookfield East at Brookfield Central: This matchup screams upset. However something prevents me from pulling the trigger on B'East here.....

Homestead at Menomonee Falls: I feel like Falls given their recent history is liable to get upset here. Also Dave Keel is still roaming the sidelines for the Highlanders too.

I actually think Koch would have made perfect sense at his alma mater but Bill Young is basically immortal.
