Menasha at Marshfield (pretty much a toss-up, IMO.  Gotta go with my alma mater, at home)

Appleton North at Bay Port (The Pirates are still upset they blew their level 3 game last season against the Lightning. Even with their starting QB out for this one, the Pirates should be getting Gash back into the fold. The Lightning will keep things close all 48 minutes, but Bay Port fends them off in a shootout.)

Neenah at Kimberly (Much like the Fondy scenario below, Kimberly whipped up on Neenah about a month ago. Since then, the Rockets have gotten back to what they do best and are once again playing great football. I expect a completely different game this time with Neenah keeping things tight throughout. The Papermakers will hold on for a low scoring win.

Arrowhead at Fond du Lac (Three weeks ago, this game would have been looked at as a blowout. Now with the way the Warhawks are playing, they have the capability to give the Cardinals their first major test since Kimberly in week 1. Cards manage to pick up another win.)

Menasha at Marshfield (Like I mentioned last week, a four seed could be the best thing that happened to Menasha this season. Are they better than that, yes they are and I believe they will be playing with a chip on their shoulders because of it. Marshfield has had a good season, but lets face it, they haven't been tested all season as they didn't face the liks of KIMberly, Fondy, Neenah or A North. This will be the first big time test the Tigers face this season, and that will be to much to overcome

I don't see Kimberly, Fondy, Neenah or Appleton North on Menasha's schedule either, if that's one of the benchmarks by which your are judging Marshfield's season.  In about the same manner as Menasha did last week (41-28), Marshfield dominated Hortonville (41-20) in the regular season.  Marshfield beat a decent Kaukauna team on the road.  They have defeated every team on their schedule, dominating all of them except SPASH & Kaukauna.

And, FWIW (something tangible), Marshfield is just as effective in the air as they are on the ground, in their balanced offense.  And, Marshfield's team strength, if not their O-line, is arguably their entire defense.

The Tigers may not come out victorious in this game, but it won't be because of their regular-season schedule.  And it won't be because Menasha will be the first team "to test Marshfield this season."

With that said, Menasha defeating Marshfield Friday night is by no means a given, Baker17.
