Hope Christian at Bradley Tech - The Swittel Era begins at Tech. Real interested to see how this plays out. New coach at HOPE also. Don't know anything about him, but hopefully he can bring some stability to the program.

Friday, 8/17

University School at Catholic Central - Better numbers for BCC should lead to a better season. USM has a playmaker or two back, but are rather young themselves. Decent barometer for where both of these teams are at.

Cambridge at Brookfield Academy - BA is really young again. Cambridge has a solid program and should lean on the Knights in this one.

Milwaukee Vincent at St. Francis - Vincent coaches were talking up their talent at the SF scrimmage on Saturday. Apparently they hit some big plays on G'Dale and B'East in their scrimmage. Still can't see Sarver and Co. dropping this one. Bay View last year was an established team with established players so them giving SF trouble made sense.

Mineral Point at Lake Country Lutheran - Good NC slate for legit state title contenders LCL. Wouldn't mind seeing this one, but early start time makes that unlikely. Expect a multi-score LCL victory.

Saturday, 8/18

St. Thomas More at Living Word Lutheran - LWL won this game big last year but did graduate a healthy dose of contributors. Nowhere to go but up for STM, hopefully they can keep this under a running clock.

Open Date: St. John's NWMA (Maybe play Wayland Academy?) - I agree. Maybe not week 1, but definitely week 2. As least the opponent is on equal footing.

Games of Note

Markesan at St. Mary's Springs - Springs marches on. Do they ever run out of good players?

Whitnall at Martin Luther - Whitnall loses a bit from last year's team so this match-up should be tighter than last year's. Still think Whitnall has more than enough to handle ML. Would be a heckuva start for the Spartans to notch a win here.

University School at Catholic Central: Will have to see if USM or St. Francis can give LCL a run for their money at the top of the league this year. BCC will be better but not in this matchup.

Cambridge at Brookfield Academy: BA somehow finds their way to a playoff bid every season. Their youth could threaten that run this year. Cambridge is really a solid program in the Cap South.

Milwaukee Vincent at St. Francis: If Vincent can keep players eligible they could be a factor in the Blackbourn. However St. Francis has shown that they are doing very well in the MWC since being a doormat in the Woodland.

Mineral Point at Lake Country Lutheran: Interesting matchup. Both teams appear to be the favorites in their respective leagues. The move to D5 paid off for LCL as they finally broke through and made it to Madison last year. Now if Springs actually does go to D5, does that mean the glass ceiling is back?

Saturday, 8/18

St. Thomas More at Living Word Lutheran: Unlike St. Francis, the move to the Metro Classic for STM has not paid off any. Another long year in store for the Cavs.

Open Date: St. John's NWMA (Maybe play Wayland Academy?)
