Menomonee Falls at Sussex Hamilton - Again, heavily dependent on whether or not Davis plays. I do see that Kollath was out again for Sussex. Should be a pretty tight game anyway, but going on the assumption Davis doesn't play, take the quality opposition.

Friday, 9/21

Germantown at Wauwatosa West - If last week's G-Town shows up, forgeddaboutit. If rest of the year G-Town shows up, this could be a battle. Still, TW doesn't seem to have much offensively, so I'll take G-Town in a tight one.

Wauwatosa East at Brookfield East - The Donavin Hunt Bowl. Regardless of which team he was on though, the Spartans would win this one handliy.

Brookfield Central vs Marquette - I guess we find out just how good Marquette is here. I think the defense is game, but I'd expect BC to slow down Marquette's attack more than enough for a comfy 2-3 score win.

Mukwonago at West Allis Hale - Can someone explaing what happened with Hale last week? 42 points in the first quarter to a team that only beat Tosa East by two more points than they did? Ouch. Mukwonago's rushing attack will be every bit as relentless as Germantown was last week.

Menomonee Falls at Sussex Hamilton - Whatever's wrong with Davis, credit the coaches at Falls for not rushing him back just to win games but instead looking after the kid's best interests.

Friday, 9/21

Germantown at Wauwatosa West - The GMC's a little tougher than the North Shore used to be, isn't it Germantown? Unfortunately for Tosa West, the North Shore is similarly tougher than the Woodland was.

Wauwatosa East at Brookfield East - I'm going to differ with DB and call this one the Tom Swittel Bowl. I know, I know, Milwaukee Tech blah blah blah, but he has to win a playoff game with Tech to make this Bowl a three-way round-robin.

Brookfield Central vs Marquette - Everyone outside Marquette's locker room expects Central to win this game, and there's no denying they're very, very good. Something about this year's Hilltoppers is telling me to go the other way, though.

Mukwonago at West Allis Hale - I do think it's possible Hale gets their payback for last week in a couple years' time. That won't help them this week, alas.

West Allis Hale vs Wauwatosa West - It's all gone downhill fast for Hale since the win. They have a shot here to get back on track, but Tosa West should have enough to get the W.

Friday, 9/28

Kettle Moraine at Menomonee Falls - KM has sputtered, and a trip outside the C8 might be enough to ail them. Of course this gets a little more interesting if Davis finally returns to the lineup for the Indians.

Marquette at Germantown - Marquette is the real deal this year. Last week proves that. Must be careful to avoid a letdown here. Don't think it'll happen though.

Brookfield East at Brookfield Central - This is an intriguing game. BC will be fired up due to the loss last week, and then throw the rivalry factor into play. Another loss here would make for some very interesting seeding come playoff time.

Sussex Hamilton at Wauwatosa East - The solid, but unremarkable Chargers keep rolling on here.

West Allis Hale vs Wauwatosa West - Big validation game for both of these schools and their desire to build something better than what they've been.  I think West is a little further along that road.

Friday, 9/28

Kettle Moraine at Menomonee Falls - I talked with a guy from KM on Saturday morning. They still feel pretty good about themselves despite the 2-4 record and they should have enough to beat Falls... unless Davis finally plays. Then it's Falls.

Marquette at Germantown - The trick here is avoiding a letdown. Marquette can do that because everyone is gunning for them, every week. This might wind up closer than you'd think, but the Hilltoppers have what it takes to handle their own business here.

Brookfield East at Brookfield Central - MUHS showed that BC's offense is not unstoppable, and there is no doubt here that East has the defense to potentially follow that blueprint. The question is whether they can score enough points of their own. I'm not convinced, but last week the bully got punched in the mouth. I think it happens again on Friday.

Sussex Hamilton at Wauwatosa East - Hamilton won't need to throw the ball to win this one, but they probably will anyway.

Games of Note

Cudahy at South Milwaukee - Cudahy tends to win this game when a playoff berth is on the line.

Racine Case at Kenosha Tremper - If you'd told me even ten years ago that Case and Tremper would be a toss-up, I'd have thought you were nuts. But this one really is.

West Allis Hale vs Wauwatosa West: Geez Hale, you give up 100+ points in the last two games combined. I thought y'all were turning the corner a bit.

Friday, 9/28

Kettle Moraine at Menomonee Falls: Despite if Davis plays or not, I don't see them generating enough offense here.

Marquette at Germantown: G-Town is improving but Marquette has the eyes on the GMC title.

Brookfield East at Brookfield Central: GOTW. Despite dropping a tight one to Marquette, I think BC still has the horses to make a long playoff run. Same goes for East.

Sussex Hamilton at Wauwatosa East: Sussex grinds on.
