Any thoughts, comments, and/or predictions for the upcoming season as we head into the summer?

Iola looks very tough with everything they have coming back this fall, Huettner is my pick for O and D POY. Also a few coaching changes. Seems like it is I/S's to lose. Amherst lost a ton and will have trouble filling in the gaps to compete with Iola.

Amherst is still the team to beat, they lost more the season before last and still won a D5 Title. Iola is stacked but until they get humble teams like Springs and Amherst will beat them 2 out of 3 times. After that it's Bonduel and Shiocton for 3rd and 4th. Witt/Birn is average.  Wega is always mystery. Pacelli and Manawa belong in the small division as they don't have enough horses to compete year in year out vs the Large.

Amherst has had a great run, but have lost more than any recent season, only 3-4 returning players have significant varsity experience. The talk in the area for a couple years has been about the potential of this Iola-Scandinavian incoming senior class. Huettner is far and away the best player in the league this year, and is a force on defense as well as offense. Not to mention they bring back their best OL and QB. The stage is set for a changing of the guard, the conference title will likely come down to the winner of Amherst vs. I/S. There is no parity in the CWC.
