Our family had the privilege of attending this meet a couple times some years back. Just a wonderful event- beautiful facility and just a really nice area. The LAX track teams did a very good job supporting it too.

There were many outstanding athletes out of the Milwaukee area. Especially hope all those who play football do well!

Shoutout to West Allis Central's sixth-ever state track & field champion, Kelvon Johnson, who had been finishing behind twin brother Kelshawn all season in the 110m hurdles...[h]until today when he edged Bay Port's Cordell Tinch, and Kelshawn at the line[/h].

Sounds like a hek of a race! Tinch had an outstanding performance over the weekend. He also won the D1 triple jump the same day and on Friday won the long jump and took second in the high jump.

Tinch' s school- Bay Port- well congratulations to those guys on finishing 3rd in D1. Locally, over the past few years you saw them slowly overtaking Green Bay Preble.

Ashwaubenon finishing 5th in D1 was a huge and pleasant surprise! The Jag track program has always been a family- very close knit among the athletes, parents and coaches and this is starting to reflect. Coach Cal Krumm has taken it to another level. Many of the kids say he's been turning the program into a "mini UW-Oshkosh."

Seems like the missing pieces to go further involve getting sprinters and in the field events.

Also from the area- congrats to the Coleman boys and Algoma girl's in finishing 1st in D3.

Fun fact...
our 4x100 relay for boys was the State Champion. What makes it more interesting is that all four of the boys that ran have torn their ACLs. Even more miraculous was that three of them tore theirs during football this season!!

I see future Badger, Kobe King(LX Central) finished 5th in the D1 High Jump. His 6'6" was actually the 3rd best height but he had more misses in the tie-breaker,

Almost incomprehensible.

I am increasingly amazed at how quickly today's athletes, at all levels, are recovering from torn ACL's and returning to action with little or no residual effects from their injury.

It is crazy with these guys too. One of them finished the year with a torn ACL but doctors could not tell. Doctor said that he was strong enough so that is why there was never any pain.
