Oshkosh West at Marquette - I'm very leery of this pick. Outside of the Brookfields I'm not convinced of the strength of this conference. The VFA on the other hand...

Sussex Hamilton at Madison West - Conversely, I'm not sold on the strength of the Big Eight this year. Sussex riding momentum of nice win last week.

D2

Menomonee Falls at Brookfield East - Not sure what to make of B'East's long-term capabilities heading into the playoffs, but they have more than enough to beat the Davises.

Milwaukee Reagan at Brookfield Central - My grandpa said there are 6 or 7 first-round matchups that could finish 100-0. This might be the only one where that actually happens.

Germantown at Waukesha West - This was 48-0 earlier this year. Don't think it'll be that bad, but we'll probably still see a running clock at some point.

Oshkosh West at Marquette - Let's see. Marquette's QB1 is healthy now and the offense is humming. With him, they'd have beaten Hamilton for sure and may have finished stronger against B'East. Most of the points scored on them by non-Brookfield teams have come after they built a lead and put some younger defenders on the field. A 7-2 MUHS would get the nod here, and that's basically the team they have now... so Marquette.

Sussex Hamilton at Madison West - Hamilton is fairly one-dimensional. The only question is whether they'll be exposed this week or next. I'll take them to win here because the Regents are a team from a large, urban multi-school district but I honestly don't know jack about those guys. It wouldn't surprise me to see Hamilton go down.

D2

Menomonee Falls at Brookfield East - East is a pretty solid club. Falls might have a chance in bad weather against a pass-oriented team who wasn't familiar with their schemes, but none one of those things are happening this Friday night.

Milwaukee Reagan at Brookfield Central - If Kennedy isn't playing sophomores before halftime here, he should go join Nick Saban as a quality control guy.

Germantown at Waukesha West - I have to believe West will be challenged at some point but it won't be by Germantown.

Games of Note

Burlington at Waterford - The Burlington group I saw in their scrimmage was not a playoff-ready team, but teams grow up over the course of a season. It'd be neat if they win this won for Don Dalton's memory.

Oshkosh West at Marquette: One of a few interesting matchups this round.
Sussex Hamilton at Madison West: Not really sure what West has outside of Big 8 play.

D2

Menomonee Falls at Brookfield East: Unfortunately for Falls, this isn't Menasha.
Milwaukee Reagan at Brookfield Central: Be nice Kennedy against Reagan.
Germantown at Waukesha West: Warhawks would be a one and done team regardless of how high their seeding should've been.
