Obviously that is going to be everyone's pick given the success of the program over the past ten years. I would give the edge to oshkosh this season. They are loaded on offense and return alot of their defense as well.

Care to explain?

UWO had five players selected to the 2015 All Conference 1st Team; three of them were seniors (Tight End, Offensive Line, All Purpose) and another is coming back from ACL surgery. That leaves Kasper as the the lone returning 1st Team All WIAC selection when UWO takes the field for their opener.

They may have some "potential" on offense with their underclassmen, but they have quite a bit to prove before I would call it a "loaded" offense.

The battle for top spot will be between UWO and UW Whitewater....other WIAC teams take notice of sleeper team in conference - UWL. With new staff and a ton of talent returning UWL could surprise most teams and take the 3rd spot in conference standings.

Yes they did lose a lot but like you said they still have the best QB in the conference in Brett Kasper. They are also solid in RB Dylan Hecker was a stud last year, I believe they have Beau Ash coming back. They lost their leading WR from last year, but still have nice parts coming back. So yes they have lost weapons but the cuppord is far from bare. They are the defending Champs and I could easily see them repeating

The WIAC has simply turned into a monopoly of Platteville, Oshkosh, and Whitewater dancing near the top, no one's really came close of late. I do like the potential at UWL, but the hopes may be a year or two premature.

Whitewater would be my pick, talented as hell year in and year out. Oshkosh wants to prove me wrong? Go ahead. Play it out.

Hecker is coming off of ACL surgery, so it is anyone's guess as to how he might respond.... Could be a stud, might be a "dud?" Never know how the body is going to respond!!!

Thats true but they still have depth there. Look at linzmeyer yesterday huge game against a good team. Ash is still there now u add j.p. peerenboom who imop will be one to watch as season goes on you dont miss a beat. They look to pick up right where they left off last year and started off right against a playoff team.

I'll give you Linzmeyer... He put up solid numbers last year along with Hecker.

As far as the other two, Ash didn't have a carry yesterday and Perenboom never even stepped on the field.

The guy to watch as the season goes on is Todarello in my opinion. He is a weapon running the ball, as a receiver, and as a return man.

I know ash and jp didnt play much in first game but they will. Oshkosh is like the cubs of the wiac they are deep everywhere. No one saw them doing what they did last year. Now they are deeper and better

If Perenboom didn't see the field today against Finlandia, I doubt he will considering eight different RB's got carries for UWO today...

They brought everyone back and Whitewater lost several guys who went to NFL camps two summers ago. What do you mean nobody saw Oshkosh doing what they did last year? If there ever was a year that you'd bet on Oshkosh it would've been last year.

Are they deeper this year? Maybe. I don't follow them too closely to know but I do know that it's hard to replace guys like Kasuboski, Sommers, and Versnik.

I know oshkosh hasn't played the best competition yet but like I said their offense is loaded. Linzenmeyer is a stud, Kasper continues to impress and receiving core looks solid. Their defense still plays lights out as well. Next week against whitewater will be a test to see where they stack up but whitewater struggled w Platteville who is not a pushover by anymeans, but oshkosh is more talented at every position than Platteville. I still see titans winning the wiac this season.

Come on.... Guys who spend time in NFL camps are abundant at the D3 level!!!! []
